On Friday 6th of May, all CEW schools will gather for a day of professional development, centred around wellbeing and sustainability.
This day will be guided by Aleda and the Wellbeing Lab. Here is some more information about them: https://www.aledacollective.com/
In the lead-up to this day, all CEW staff members will complete a survey about their workplace and wellbeing. Please complete your survey by Friday 8th April – it takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
Each school will also have staff representatives in a face-to-face focus group, who will meet with the team at Aleda and The Wellbeing Lab, adding greater detail, context and personal experience to the survey results.
CEW Staff will access their individual school surveys from this link: https://permahsurvey.com/catholic-education-wodonga/
Here is a snapshot of our focus throughout this upcoming Professional Development day…
In its simplest form, wellbeing is our ability to feel good and function well. And in an increasingly dynamic, busy and disruptive world, caring for our wellbeing has never been more important. But what are the small, evidence-based actions that are worth prioritising?
- Discover why caring for your wellbeing involves moments of both thriving and struggle, and how to navigate each of them more confidently.
- Be given a toolbox with six tiny evidence-based behaviors you can use to boost your wellbeing in five minutes or less each day.
- Learn how three simple questions can help you keep your wellbeing on track, even when things are challenging.
- Have a chance to work with others from your school to co-create better ways you can support each other’s wellbeing.
To guide us, Brett Burton from Aleda and the team at The Wellbeing Lab team will be leading us in this engaging, energizing, and interactive session – where all voices will have opportunities to be heard and to shape each of our schools’ wellbeing approaches into the future.
Our day will commence at 8:45am and conclude at 3:30pm.
